What Does Rose Bowl Mean to Me?

Hello,
My name is Sean Rho, Jr., a 15-year-old competitive swimmer for the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center (RBAC) Senior 2 Group and a Varsity swimmer for the Crescenta Valley High School Boys' Swim Team. I love to swim the Individual Medley, 100 Butterfly, and I also specialize in distance events where a swimmer must swim anywhere from 500 yards to ONE MILE! Swimming and my RBAC team are a huge part of my life. My teammates and I train from Monday through Saturday for 2.5 to 3 hours a day.
Swimming and being a part of my TEAM have taught me lasting life skills that school doesn't teach: I've learned what it means to dedicate myself to something I’m passionate about, to make necessary sacrifices, and how to come back stronger from struggles of multiple injuries including a knee surgery when I was 13. I’ve also learned to be more disciplined, self-sufficient, responsible, and how to be a good team player. I know that I still have much room to improve and learn, but I also know that my TEAM and my teammates will be there with me on my journey.
I would like to help my TEAM through this opportunity by doing the best I could to raise as much donation as possible. Each year, my teammates and I participate in RBAC's fundraiser called Swim-A-Thon. From the start of the fundraiser to the actual day of the event on May 18 this year where my teammates and I will each swim 200 laps (5000 yards, almost 3 miles!), I’m asking people to help and donate. I've already reached my initial goal of $2,000.00 but I would like to help my TEAM even MORE and try to raise $2,500.00 to $3,000.00. Donations will help fund the following:
- Scholarships;
- Team relay fees;
- Travel meets;
- Training equipment;
- And MUCH MORE!
Please donate what you can because EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS! Thank you in advance for your interest and donation.
Rose What?
ROSE BOWL!
